Well after bugging my best friends little sister all the time about seeing her ball python I decided to get my own. Got a female which I wasn't really looking for cause they get "fatter" than the males but I really liked her pattern. Only hissed at me once so far, but that was when I first got her home and was taking her out of the pillow case the store gave her to me in.

EDIT: oh ya pics arent' the greatest because they were taken with my blackberry pearl, will take more when my digital camera battery is done charging.

Awww, she's adorable. :)  I hope you have plans for big and bigger enclosures as she grows - she won't stay in an aquarium long.

    What's her name?

I agree with Indy...er, Twin Twist on this one. Creeped out by snakes since I ran over a pretty good sized one with the lawn mower when I was a kid. Now they're angry, coordinated, and out to get revenge.

Cool. So how long before it's big enough to make a decent pair of boots?

Snakes are cool. I just wouldn't keep one as a pet, though. Even more so since my mom is deathly scared of snakes.

Right now she's in a 3 foot aquarium which is supposed to be able to last her until she is full size, but if not I have enough room to put a bigger one

That's good. But note that the large snakes don't usually stay as small as they're 'supposed' to. ;)

I would totally have a pet snake if I didn't have to feed it mice.

She looks great. She's what about 14 inches? I have loved all my Ball Pythons. Unfortunately I have lost two over the years and only have Lisa. I occasionally think about picking up a friend for her.

Cool. I'm not a huge fan of snakes, but I've always thought it would be interesting to have one as a pet (maybe when I find a place on my own). If I ever do one, it'll probably be a milk snake. Specifically, the type that mimics coral snakes. I like their color pattern, and I know of at least one pet store that almost always has them.
