it's a VERY fine camera. I know of only 1 other photographer who uses one (1D and 5D are very very expensive, and out of most photographers around here's comfort and usage range)

the big deal for me is the full frame censor, and it's ability to capture lowkey images without a lot of digital noise. There will be a lot less chromatic Aberrations with my highkey shots as well. not to mention its a 12.8 megapixel censor (13.5 MP fullframe)

only thing i'm concerned about is the Version of RAW it uses, and if it will still be compatible with my Adobe PS Cs1

Having just upgraded last year to a Canon Digital Rebel Xti, and still being blown away by the quality, I can't imagine what jumping up to one of Canon's pro-level cameras would be like. Congrats, and enjoy the hell out of that new camera and accessories.

I may be the only one, but I'd be interested in your other lenses and filters and such. I'm still trying to pick out filters and extra lenses for my Rebel.

    well then:

.45x Wide Angle Lens converter, that increases the angle of view by more than 100%. also has a macro and and infrared compatible.

i finally broke down and got a proper Neutral density filter. this will allow the shutter to remain open longer, allow less light in and provide very nice ribbon effect shots of waterfalls, and moving clouds for my outdoor photography.

got a few filters that will provide better skintones outdoors, and filters for different lighting for location shots so i don't always need to rely on shooting raw images if a client needs a fast turn around.

i'm sending off my rebel for a conversion to infrared. i've never actually shot IR before, and only got fairly close using PS filters and layer techniques. This should bringa whole new level to some images as well.

Oooh! Now that sounds awesome. I wish I could afford a camera as nice as a rebel to be dedicated to special tasks like infrared. Also like the sounds of that wide-angle lense converter. Wide-angle stuff is one of those things that's so much fun to play with.

Very nice, camera. I'm hoping to save up for a year and update my Nikon D70 up to the next level.

Wheeljaxx, did you go to school for photography or are you self taught?

3 years of school, graduated top of the class (highest grade given by the teacher in 25 years of teaching.... YEAH BABY!!!)

but a lot of my "Style" is self taught, using what i learned over the years to refine lighting techniques and such.

    TRUE DAT! *DROOLS*
And nice choice of lenses as well! That is one thing I *DO* splurge on, lenses....
    My current inventory:
    EF 18-55 (standard lens)
    EF-s 10-22mm
    EF 17-40mm
    EF 50mm f 1.8 II
    EF-s 55-250mm
And when they introduced the DO line...swoon!

Shame my toys don't get to go out and play often enough :(
