I know that I am new here. I know that I stick out like a sore thumb. But I come to you, my brothers and sisters, in my hour of need. For you see, I am a Primer, a convert of the wonderful series that we all know and love.

For months I have yearned for news and information regarding what is rapidly turning in to one of my favourite shows ever. Sure, I love watching G1, and the 1986 movie is the high watermark of my Transformers addiction. But, there is something about this show, a certain backstory that keeps me drawn in, hooked. The various subplots, the delightful voice acting...even, dare I say it, the character models. Soundwave as a silent, forboding warrior who transforms in to a UAV spy plane? Oh my, my hair stands on end just thinking about it.

So, after months of finding very little news, I stumble upon this board...and there is much rejoicing. You are my Holy Grail, my Ark of the Covenant. I have found you, my brothers and sisters in arms.

I thank you for allowing me to partake, to garner naught but a sniff from this Holy Grail. I am truly humbled to be watching such beautiful story telling, story telling that kids should be watching. The battle between evil and good, the search for what one is made of...that, my friends, teaches man and woman far more than the primitive programming that surrounds it. Let us rejoice, that we are able to bear witness to a monumental shift in Transformers history, after a decade lost in the wilderness, it has returned.

Welcome! For the most part, I find almost everyone around here likes the show. The pessimism mostly comes from the toy aspect.

The show kicks ass, and I hope we can discuss it more.  

 

Thank you all for the kind welcome! I just didn't know how I should express my joy at being able to find fellow Primers. I'm on another forum, and frankly, I'm the only one who watches the show there, so it gets a bit lonely when I want to discuss how AWESOME the show is.

Man, I will admit, I was a bit skeptical about the whole series to begin with. I thought it focused WAY too much on the kids, who I found annoying. However, at about the halfway mark, I think it was the episode when Airachnid landed on Earth, things started to heat up, and the final 5-6 episodes had me like this whilst watching the show:
