Firstly I would like to thank Dawgstar for making the head for this project. Check his work out, its awsome.

I entered this into Sector70 Insecticon challange thinking I might win. I came 3rd place which wasnt bad going though.

I only decided to make this after looking at my PG Skygraper jet, part of the Striker Gundam model perfect grade. I never really like the jet, I think it was a bit naff. So Im looking at the model and thought the thrusters on the tiny wings would make suitable donor for Kick back Grasshopper legs. Thats where this idea came from. Dreaming about the legs... Crackers or what?

I wanted to redesign the leg transformation to make it more actual insect accurate. The G1 toy had the fat end at the thin end, it looked ok but I wanted to make it right. I also made the arms tuck away into the body cuz I like doing that in my builds.

I wanted some of the G1 bits in it, like the wings and head in appearance and position in Robot mode.

Here it is hope you like it. I really do....

great custom! personally I would get rid of that small decepticon logo on his chest which leaves only the big one on show.

I spy with my little Eye Repurposed Legos (The wings and the Insect mode legs are made of Lego parts)

That looks really cool. You should take some comparison pics with othe MP figures so we can geta better idea about the size.

    Hi buddy.

It is great to see this on here and thanks for the big up.

This looks great and looks like it took a lot of time and thoughts to put together.
Do you plan on the others?
i would say try and take some more photos i tend to use clean fomulux as the floor and background now with 2 led lights pointing up and across. i think the shadows are putting him down.
the middle section i think is great makes him look the insect like.

fantastic job look forward to your next project

    All the best DS

The bug mode really shines on this build. The robot parts fold away nice and clean to give it a "true" transformation.
However, I was not a big fan of the upper legs in robot mode. It may be a personal preference, but ball joints stand out too much on MP scaled figures unless blended into the surrounding components.
Still felt it was one of the best entries.

Thanks buddy. means alot from a pro basher like yourself

I know what you mean, but they are not ball joints. They are fixed. Besides I needed them to stick out or the new leg transformation would work. I kinda think it looks more bug like to me... Thanks for your feedback I will definately bare that in mind for my next bash. I have something in the pipe line.

    Heres an MP scale comparison.
