As for the other problems I had, I was able to fix the leg and from seeing how many other people had broken leg panels I assume this is common, and I probably did it to the figure. The chips and scuff on the trailer, isn't that bad. But I did order another one. I managed to take money out of my life savings. For a figure, yeah my parents will kill me when it shows up at the door.

Hopefully ems can do something for you! Otherwise, just hold onto that stuff because that trailer will be very valuable one day! 

 

What a dufus response from hlj...this is a widespread problem with the release and not due to shipping damage.

Furthermore, how on earth would they know if he was broken or not since he comes BOXED without windows on the packaging?

May I suggest that your next purchase be from Amiami? According to one poster, the company offered him a 50% refund. Check out post #1132 Rodimus Convoy "feedback thread".

If it comforts you, I had to give up some other purchases because of the Rodimus purchase! X)

 

That was me. Others got new Rodimus base figures, others got extra legs\whatever was damaged.

Oh yeah, I was crushed. I had to order a new one. I couldn't look at the damage without getting upset. But now I am going to look at the new box and be upset that I had to pay another $200.

But at least, I'll have one to play with and one to keep in box. I mean there are worse things in life than having to pay $200 for a defective toy.


Yeah I never heard of amiami until last night when another member mentioned it to me. I am definitely NEVER ordering from Hobbylinkjapan ever again. Worst online purchasing experience of my life. They didn't even bubble wrap the box or anything. Roddy was just floating around in a huge box.

I've ordered from HLJ many times for my Macross collection and usually they come packaged well for shipping. They were also very helpful in finding a missing part from my VF-22S from Yamato.

Not sure why they gave that response to your claim. They're usually very helpful in finding an alternative solution.

 

There are too many horror stories about him. I think I'm going to wait for the Hasbro version. Don't want to shell out $200 + for him and then show up to my house broken. I will be a very pissed off motherf@#%*!. So I'll wait.
