I can't seem to remember if they did.
Yes. Several times in fact. I'll dig out some examples later.
Swoop and Divebomb in particular were rivals.
OO are the reprints available?
It was only in the UK comics, but yeah. An annual story titled "What's in a Name?" established the rivalry between Swoop and Divebomb, which led into "Grudge Match", in which the two teams went at it. These issues were reprinted by Titan in the graphic novel titled "Prey", but IDW haven't reprinted them. That was it, though - well, unless you count the advert for the Predacon toys, which presented them as the Dinobots' new rivals!
Thanks guys. I'll have to see if I can hunt that Titan novel down.
If I remember right, Grimlock beat that crap out of Razorclaw and Rampage (so badly that it was censored) in the Marvel UK Earthforce story "Snow Fun!" didn't he?
IDW just recently published Prey
ok, Predaking is one thing.
but the predacons separately...up against dinosaurs?
it would, should be, no contest.
i suppose the stories are still fun to read, lol
I apologise, you are quite right, sir! Looks like "Grudge Match" was reprinted in the fifth and final issue of their "Best of UK: Prey" mini-series, so it'll also be available in the trade collection of that series. "What's in a Name?" doesn't appear to have received the same treatment, however.
You say that as if the Predacons' beast modes are the size of the actual animals. Divebomb was portrayed as easily Swoop's size.
Remember, the Predacons are very outsized robot animals.
Just bought the IDW trade last week. "What's in a name" does appear in it. I remember reading those stories when they first came out. Gettin'old.
Hey, let me know if you need help looking for them. I might be able to be of assistance. don't worry, completely non- profit just glad to help.
