Finally got around to putting this stuff up. I had some empty wire shelves that were bolted into the walk in closet of our guest bedroom. I decided to take some free Ikea roof rack cardboard and put up a ghetto display for my Joes. Cobra Commander, Destro, Zartan, Storm Shadow with Cobra Ninja Hovercycle, Firefly, Iron Grenadier. Ninja B.A.T., Sky B.A.T., Red Banshee, Duke, Flint, Razerwire. Lt. Stone, Hi-Tech, Grand Slam, Armored Snake Eyes with Sigma 6 Hovercycle, Long Range, Heavy Duty. Gung-Ho, Shipwreck, Spirit Iron-Knife, Shockwave, Desert Wolf, Leatherneck. Kamakura, Inferno, Wet Suit, Recondo (renamed: Muskrat), Tunnel Rat, Firefly.
Yeah I still need to hunt down Shockwave, Leatherneck, Flint, Lockdown, Torpedo, Sgt. Boulder, and the Red Banshee. I never knew my GI Joe collection grew this big until I put them all on display.
Nice set up. You even bought the crappy Red Banshee and Desert Wolf. God bless you for trying to keep this line alive.
I actually don't mind those two. The Red Banshee does have a crappy ALT mode but the BOT mode is very mantis-like and I love mantises. Desert Wolf is okay for me since he's not another Duke/Snake Eyes/Storm Shadow.
That is sweetness, Razerwire! I like the space you gave em, not cramming them all together like I tend to do, losing the individuality between each character. Very nice work.
Very cool I love the space that you gave each figure eat of the shelves. BTW is the Razerwire custom the one that you just did?
Yup. I'm no where near finishing it though. Only thing I did so far was go over the hair and eyebrows with a black sharpie. I'm gonna go back and paint the hair and eyebrows with a matte black though. There's also a lot of paint work on the body I need to do but I don't have the paint yet. I'm probably gonna get some this weekend.
I have an extra original Snake Eyes I'm don't need. Has no accessories or the vest though. I gave them to my Armored Snake Eyes.
Updated again with the purchase of Shockwave! And man is he fricken AWESOME! Now all I need is Leatherneck and I'm all caught up.
