Ratatouille...13 showings a day
1408...9 showings a day
Evan Almighty...9 showings a day

Even Shrek 3, Knocked Up, and Surfs Up, which have all been out for weeks, still have 5 showings a day.





Transformers has 3. 3 Showings a day. On just one screen. The only movie with fewer is A Mighty Heart. Even Pirates 3, more than a month old, has 3 showings. I have to admit, this really surprises me. They seem to be expecting it to be a huge flop. I know they can adjust the schedule in week 2 if it turns out to be a bigger hit than they were expecting, but I didn't imagine it would get such a pitiful opening week, at least in my local theater.

 

That's the way one of the larger theaters here had it listed at first as well, then when I checked back yesterday they had changed it to two screens with six showings a day, plus two "all digital" showings a day.

 

Looks like somebody's got their shit mixed up.

 

At the preview screening I saw tonight they had a sign that said "The line for TRAMSFORMERS starts here"

 

I don't care how many screens my crappy local theater has it on, as long as it's more than zero.

 

Just out of curiosity, KidDynamite, is your theater an AMC? Because mine only has 4 shows a day for Transformers, and they have 16 screens!

Not an AMC theater, although I forgot to mention they have 16 screens also. So it's on one screen out of 16, and they don't even use the full day's schedule at that. The earliest showing is at 3:30, and most movies start at this theater (at least in the summer) around 10 am.

 

my local "Destinta" has like, 23 showings a day on 5/20 screens. Woot

 

It will be their loss. They will be losing a lot of money that first day. Morons.

You should let them know how stupid they are. My god, it's like THE summer movie, EVERYBODY is talking about it, moreso than anything else.

 

since you all are close by (evansville, louisville, etc). You should drive just a little bit north on US41, and meet me and like 7 other people in Terre Haute on Monday. We'll all be meeting at the Pizza Place (Little Ceazars) inside Super Kmart a couple hours before hand, and then going to Kerasotes Showplace 12 for the 8:00 pm showing.

 

Mine has 4 showings for the opening day which is pretty slim pickings for my theater for a usual opening day. But then again my theater only has 10 screens.

 

I'm glad we have Rave Motion Pictures here. Such a better theatre than UA or AMC. 7 showings on 7/3.
