Guardians of Harmony hit my store overnight - and they're amazing!

A better shot sans Cheese because he looks good already...or is he there in spirit?

A comparison between the new, highly show accurate Queen Chrysalis and the original straight repaint of the old Celestia Brushie that is Queen Chrysalis Mk. I, from the TRU exclusive Fan Favorites set 2 (the one with Brushie Derpy)

As for Spike...he's a solid cast figure, no articulation. But no articulation is no problem for him.

    Seriously.

    Which one is she again?

Hey the new ponies have joints?!? What are they like? I never completed those 1/6 ponies for my niece, but I did the first round 1/12.

And I've only seen the first series way back, is MLP pretty deep now? Don;t actually get the Equestria girls and how that fits.

The new jointed ponies are actually quite nice - though there is a difference between the original wave of six (Miss/Coco Pommel is one of them) with full jointed limbs, and the actually better half-jointed limbs of everything that's followed since.

And the show isn't that deep. Still better than your average fare, though.

My walmart has Guardians of Harmony! that huge Spike Dragon, Cheese Sammich's Tank and then most of the other smaller ones except Twilight and the Changling?
It was great to see them locally.

I'm seriously tempted to grab the Twilight/Changeling pack, because then I can use the Changeling as Thorax and 'pissed the fuck off' Twilight amuses me, but there's a serious issue that only becomes evident when you see the package in person.

Twilight's teeth aren't painted. Her snarl is purple.

I HATE jointed toy animals, but Shining Armor is actually pretty cool looking. His armor fits nicely and his little extras are well detailed. He seems to have np standing and he he's close in size to my daughter's Shine Bright Cadance. These are much better then the original line of creepy, jointed g4s. Those were like marionettes with their strings cut.

I gotta hand it to Hasbro, they actually went all out on this line. The rest of the toys look nice too, but this is the only one I've bought as I haven't seen NMM or Queen Chrysalis anywhere

ya GOH as a toyline is pretty epic! I tried out CS Rubber Chicken Tank gimmick in the store and about laughed out loud.
Wish they would've started this like two years ago... and run the GOH line separate from the regular girl-line brushables. They could've cashed-in hard! It would've been exactly how they do TFs! Generations Toyline concurrently with RID/TFP/whatever-current show Toy Line. and ... maybe we could hope for Masterpiece MLP?... 12" posables... maybe brushable with show accurate hair too? Just wish the MLP and TF departments would talk to each other.

I just wish Hasbro's MLP department would put this kinda effort, quality and care back into the toyline period.

Dang, I bought the wrong ones. MLP was 40% off and I just bought five of those basic Equestia girls minis as stocking fillers...

Picked up Angry Twilight and the Changeling today - these things are moving fast and I may not get the chance to grab the Shadowbolt now, though not much lost there since I generally try to only get on screen characters and the Shadowbolts were merely a disguise of NMM so I can live without.

Twilight is actually probably one of the weaker figures as her teeth are not painted for some reason - a problem I myself can easily fix given the tiny painted bullshit I regularly kill myself over when it comes to Gunpla - but the armor seems intentionally designed to be non-removable despite the hoof guards being easily slipped on and off. She also appears noticeably cross-eyed from a front profile. She'll probably end up on display in the back as I did need a compliment to my original brushie Twi to reflect the Alicorning, and with the molded hair this fits the bill.

The Changeling, oddly, is also a bit lackluster but in a different way. I somehow didn't notice at the time but unlike all the ponies and Queen Chrysalis, the Changeling lacks a mid-foreleg joint. This appears to be intentional on account of Twilight's 'grabby' gimmick so the legs are easier to catch into the claw notches. The 'shoulder' universal joints are still there, though, and the sculpt is excellent so he's still far better than the solid-pose brushies. He also doesn't look actually evil and as such he's an ideal Thorax.
