i'm not going to beable to go to botcon.. my moms van i drive
the service engine light came on  
plus the gas price has gone up... if anyone wantsto know what to do
i have an ohio guide book with all the places to go

Is public transportation available to you?

 

Half the time that service engine light is either a leaking gas cap, or a worn EGR valve. The EGR valve is pretty pointless, anyway.

 

Gosh, and I thought what with losing my job, not being able to find another yet, the threat of forclosure on my house where my wife & son live with me, and the multiple ulcers that had me in ICU a month ago vomitting up enough blood to put me in need of a transfusion, etc, that I had it bad.

Nevermind the folks out there that are homeless, dying, etc.

You get teh win, hands down.

This thread is chock full o' FAIL.

LOL at the check engine light...I had a car that I drove for 10 years; it would light up after about 5 minutes of running, and it did it the entire time I owned it. It ran great the entire time.

Basically no one can ever complain about anything because someone out there will always have it worse.

 

Not to sound like a major dick,optimusprime42, But it could be worse..It's not the end of the world...

On a side note....I'm not going to Botcon.. I've never gotten around to going...

Seconded. My '87 Firebird's check engine light is my most loyal driving companion, as it's always on, no matter what.

 

not gonna dis, but man, if i were a few miles closer, i'd honestly consider the big gray dog or (zoinks) flying.
never mind- not gonna pay a grand to spend all of botcom in a terminal full of homeless suits and tourists.
