    Hey guys,

This is my entry for a competition being run on a little known Irish based Transformers website. The guys over there are currently looking for people to come and vote on the entries that various people have submitted.

There are some great entries on there. Admittedly it's a relatively low-brow website. They're really in their infancy and it would be great for people to head over there and have a look at what they have to offer, especially if there's a lick of the ol' Irish in ya.

I'm not sure if the competition has been mentioned here or not so if it has please accept my apologies.

If everything is OK then I'd definitely suggest heading over and at least checking out the competition entries. Here's the link.

And if you're over there then why not help out with the voting. It's a simple process, just email tfirelandonline@gmail.com with the number of the entry you prefer in your subject line. Mine's 8 by the way but if you head over there you'll see that there are others probably more worthy of your vote. Some of them deserve to win on the basis of the idea behind the character alone! lol!

Since I'm here I may as well show you guys my own entry.

This guy is called Celticon and I guess you could call him my first attempt at an Original Character. He is a baseformer and his alt mode is a stadium located in the heart of Dublin City.

For me this guy was a labour of love. I have only dabbled ever so slightly with colouring before so this is my first real attempt at something like this. Like any piece of art, and indeed like many of my own pieces, the poor guy's riddled with errors and perspective issues as well as colouring issues in relation to a randomly erratic light source!

However, as a personal project for myself, I am particularly proud of Celticon and hope to continue to develop on from this point.

I hope you guys like him too.

Oh, and on a final note, this guy was totally inspired by Dreamwaves More Than Meets The Eye profile books, in particular Metroplex.

    Thanks for looking.

Awesome! I'm Irish too! That pic is sweet!

Does Celticon allow rugby to be played in him?

That's awesome. Cool idea integrating him into the city... didn't get to Dublin on my two Ireland visits, was on the west coast both times. Be pretty cool to see a castle-former from over around Kerry or maybe Galway. ;)

I'm heading over to the website now. :)

As a matter of fact one of the designs I had tried to make work was to have the pitch visible in his chest cavity but I just couldn't make it work!

But yes, the awesome that is the Irish National Rugby team do indeed allow all comers in for a game inside the big man!! lol!!

    Thanks for the praise. :)

Dublin is a great place to visit, as I often do myself when I'm down there on business. There's plenty to see and if you're rich you can even afford a pint ot two!!

One of my other ideas was for a castle-former, but I just kept going back to the stadium idea.

Thanks for checking out the website. You'll see that there aren't loads of entries but that what is there is pretty sweet! Some real funky Irish-type characters plus a cool ass tank!

Oh, I'm in love with it, especially because I cannot draw stadiums for the life of me.

You and me both Frank! LOL!

Ha ha! Now that would be interesting!! Feckatron!

Well, it is an acquired skill... which is why I used a photo!! LOL!

Thanks Josh, now you know why I needed those colouring tutorials on YouTube!! I also made use of your tutorial on DA for some post-colouring effects and textures.
