As some might know, Transformers the movie opened to the public July 2nd at 8pm (at least at all the theaters near me). So, being the die-hard fan that I am, decided to go in an Optimus prime suit that I made. (See below)

You might think that I'm a tad daring for doing this, but since everyone believed that the movie came out the next day, the only people in the audience were transformers fans and they were very happy to see me when i opened my chest compartment to reveal the matrix(they showed their admiration with applause). When I went to see spider-man, i also went in a professional Spider-man suit. When I came out of the theater, I was pretty disappointed with the movie, and felt ashamed of wearing the suit, but not with Transformers. I was proud to walk out of that theater as the symbol of freedom, justice, and courage who we all idolize.
The reason I'm sharing this story is to find out if there are an other
die-hard Transformers fans who have done the same thing I have. I'd also like some feed back on the suit. Hope you like!

Looks like you put a lot of work into it, dude. Great job!   Looks like a pretty good representation of Optimus Prime. I bet the folks at the theaters got a kick out of it.

 

Wow, that is a lot of duct tape dude.

And 'daring' isn't quite the word that comes to mind.

 

well, after my Spider-man incident where i got chased out of the movie theaters by two random psychos, accidentally jumping on someones car hood while they were in the car, and getting my car trunk banged on by the same two crazies, going to the movie theaters again in a costume to me was daring.

 

I liked Spiderman 3 better. Cool costume i guess.

No, I'm a guy thank you, but seeing someone else do that would be pretty funny I guess. Then again they'd probably get arrested for it. Oh, and if anyone wants to know, I made the suit in 3 days. 1 day for cutting and piecing together cardboard, another for color and a 3rd for detail and such. I spent a few more days adding new ideas and such, but if I really spent a lot more time on it, it would look a lot more professionally done. Thus the name "homemade Optimus prime suit".
