I've got three major grails in my collection. One, was collecting all the Braves (Done). Two, was owning all the major leaders (Star Convoy was the last, and he got a reissue! Yay!).

The third was to feed my addiction to combiners...

For the record, I'm counting combiners as three members or more, though I have all the Convoy / Prime combinations as well as every unique mold in Energon.
Also, I'm only after one of each unique mold. As much as I'd love *every* combiner, I'm not sure I could stomach owning Bruticus six times over!

(For those curious, there's 143 TFs in those pics!)

Damn dude, that's some great stuff! I never thought about counting the Perceptors as combiners. Collecting gestalts was one of my earlier focuses with G1 too, now I'm going back and cleaning them up and re-stickering them. Computron's on the table now. :ev:

You've got me beat a bit though, if the Raiden and Landcross are originals. I just have KOs as placeholders. Plus I skipped the beast bots.

Is that the original Landcross?? Strange, i've always thought of him as being much smaller than Road Ceasar.

That's what i get for keeping everything in a cupboard.

Landcross and Raiden are both KOs, unfortunately. Raiden is the one you see on Ebay a lot. Landcross (and Liokaiser) are late 80's KOs, possibly Taiwanese if I had to guess, quality wise they are as good as the originals.

Landcross is that size on the original though. He's a decent sized bot, just watch those wobbly hips!

    Raiden i'd guessed.

Landcross, i should've looked closer at the different colored fists. Wasn't sure - the window sticker on Tacker made me think original, the stickers on the crotch plate threw me a bit. (Incidentally the reissue Landcross has tight hips, is obtainable for around $20-$30 AND they improved the paint details on the faces)

I remember seeing the 'knockoff' version Liokaiser many many years ago, it's probably rarer than real thing. I'd heard the quality was identical.

Cool combiner collection. But I'm more interested in your Braves :)

P.S. Bruticus' shoulders are transformed incorrectly

A lot of people think Landcross is small, since he the reissue was labeled as a "DX micromaster". Him and his members are of the same size as the scramble city and diaclone combiners. He's a great bot, and the reissue is unbelievable value for $20. I feel sorry for everybody who got the original before that, though. I wish they would stop reissuing those obscure bots and focus on the stuff everybody wants, like the dinobots.

    Awesome collection of combiners!

btw: Bruticus/Ruination should have Brawl/Armorhide facing with the turret forwards

Yeah, I always liked them the other way round, though. To me, having the turret at the front looks "backwards". Silly I know but what can I say, I'm not exactly an, er.... un-silly... guy.

Lol, no problem, that's the charm of combiners, you can arrange them whichever way you want!

Although I think the pics @ tfu.info should reflect the 'correct' mode.

Nice, I've always liked combiners too. Want to try to get Puzzler, the Go-Bot combiner now?

I've got those ko raiden and roadcaesar bots, as well as the ko landcross. I did some repainting of roadcaesar to make his colors more uniform and like the original, and I had to do up landcross' chest plate. you'd be hard pressed. surprisingly, I have all but 4 of what you have pictured, 2 of which are micromasters ;)  I never realized there were so many.

Do you have a thread for your leader collection? I took a look through your post history, but could not find anything. Any chance you'd start one if you didn't?

    Thanks,

thats pretty sweet...do you not count magmatron as a combiner? i know he doesnt have individual robot modes, but he still combines....and no giant oversized bruticus? or undersized versions of devastator and bruty either? anyway, thats a pretty sweet collection....ive got most of those, and almost all the bruticus molds, cuz thats my favorite combiner ever...
