So, some have seen the other pack that I was working on last year, I however, no longer have it, I gave it to another fellow Ghostbusters fan a few hours from me to help him in his process to put together a GB costume. All of the pics in this thread, is of MY personal props, they are not for sale, will never even be considered for a potential sale. After Halloween last year, my props were starting to show their age and the abuse that they've gotten over a course of 8 years, so me and my GB crew tore them apart and started rebuilding/repairing my Proton Pack. My Proton Pack is styrene with metal and resin detail parts, as well as real parts that were on the Packs. So, we spent about 3 months on my Pack and the Thrower, stripping them all back down to the original bases, and then building them back up. After we were done, I had to do a double take on my own pack because I couldn't even recognize it anymore, it looks nothing like it did before we started, keep in mind, I haven't seen it in this shape in 8 years. So fast forward to an event we did back in January, and now my Pack needs touch up paints and some small repairs. So onto the pics, and I will explain what needs to be redone now. So the front handle got busted free again, as well as the palm rest. I have the palm rest in my repair box, it's all ready to go back on, and I have to repair the front hand once again. Just a few paint touchups on this side, the kids love our props, and what caused the gun to get messed up was a kid accidentally dropping it, he was so upset and so was his parents, I couldn't be mad at all, he was truly sorry, I explained to them that it wouldn't be a problem to fix it, the parents tried to give me money to help in the repairs, but since we do events for charities, I told them that if they were going to give money that it needed to be for the charity and now for a repair on my own equipment. The grand poobah of Ghostbusters props, the Proton Pack. If you noticed that there seems to be something missing on it, that's because it is. There is suppose to be a part on the upper left hand corner called an Ion Arm, it didn't break off, I popped it off to finish detailing it and once complete it will be attached back. A close up of the Upper Module, behind the blue lens you can see the Powercell lights, the lights do work, but I have to solder then back since my Thrower isn't attached at this present moment. The Lower Module, behind the red lenses are the other lights called the Cyclotron lights, those are the lights that flash in sequence clockwise. Side profile, you can see where I have to do touch ups in the paint. Side profile of the Upper Module, again, you can see where I have to do touch ups on the Gun Mount, but they are always endless because that metal bracket is where the Thrower mounts to the pack and I'm always banging it on the Mount. Top Down view of the Upper Module. My old Ecto Goggles and my best friend's resin Ecto Goggles. Now, the Ecto Goggles on the right are not pink, for some reason, my camera is capturing all whites as pink. I currently do not have any Ecto Goggles, the Goggles on the left are being giving to another Florida GB fan, and my only other pair that I owned were given to Ernie Hudson. Lastly, our two unfinished resin PKE Meters with wings. There is still alot to do to the PKEs, they probably won't be completed for quite some time. Hoped you guys enjoyed this, if you are gonna ask where pics of my flightsuit is, there are pics of me in my full gear in the Halloween thread from last year, you can do a search and see them, you couldn't see my equipment that well in the Halloween pics.
