The past collection thread I had was two years outdated. A lot changed since then so this is up to date. And, since people have asked, the only KO I have is Mirage (who will, eventually, be replaced by an original - I just need to find one in the condition I want). All of the others are reissue or original G1s.

Great stuff, I love seeing G1 collections; it's all I collect, and I like seeing what others have got, how they've got it set up etc!

Great stuff man! :thumbs2:  Loving all of it. I myself just got back into TFs about 2 years ago, and re-issues are the way to go for anyone looking for minty fresh G1s without breaking the bank

Looking at your collection gives me something to shoot for

Yeah, I never had them either (or most of these, for that matter). Luckily I found the Sixshot at a Anime store in Washington, DC. He was only $40 MISB! Makes me wonder if I'm going to shoot for the Japanese G1s after I'm done with the American releases.

Yeah, they are nice but the prices are crazy on some; especially the first reissues (Optimus, Magnus, and Hot Rod). I actually took up collecting again when I ran across those in 2002 at TRU. Initially I bought doubles of everything, thinking the reissues would run out eventually. It started getting out of control so I kept those first three MISB (which you can see on the top shelf in the back right corner) and sold off all the rest. The downfall of reissues is that some characters will never come out, so you eventually have to start buying the originals if you want to complete it all.

So, i have to ask. How's the quality on the Mirage? and where'd you acquire it?

    Btw, awesome collection. Great stuff.

That's just where they currently live. I move them around from time to time. Plus my friend's 10 year-old LOVES to come over and play with Optimus. I'd rather have him there than buried somewhere on another shelf where she could knock others over.

The quality is surprisingly good. He's not too loose and displays well. Being the only KO I've bought I was pleasantly surprised, although I try to avoid KOs when I can. I may end up getting the Sunstreaker and Wheeljack, however, since the price on the real deals is getting so high and the condition is usually questionable. I believe I bought him on thetoyvalley.com when he first came out. It was only $30 then, so it was a decent deal.

Great setup! I love how the Japanese characters like Stepper, Soundblaster and Landcross are just chilling out with their Western homies like they were there the whole time. :D

All the more reason I may move on to the Japanese figs after I'm done with the US ones.
