Hello, I just got home from seeing the Fourth Kind. I'm going to say it right now, It's not for the faint of heart. Believe it or not, I'm surprised it only got a PG-13. Opening: If you've seen the trailer, you're aware of the Opening Sequence. It's Mila Jovovich saying that all of it is "supported" by archive footage and that it is disturbing. She was right. The "Real" Abigail Tyler was the first real scare in the film. White as a ghost, large eyes that are completely open, and very softspoken. She is being "interviewed" by the director. The Murder: The next major sequenc is Mila (as Abigail) recounting her husband's "Murder". She describes someone coming in, with a knife, and stabbing him in the chest. We then find out that her daughter mysteriously lost her sight after the murder. Her son criticises her for not accepting the death of his father. The Dictations: Her patient interviews are....interesting. They all se what they claim is a white owl, and most of them recount incidents of this owl coming in to their homes and looking over them. After Abigail hypnotizes one of her patients, "Tommy" goes home and kills his wife and children, which is "supported" by video evidence. She is then interogated by the police chief. I'm going to stop there, as it just gets creepier. I give it a 10 out of 10. I may have to go back to therapy because of it, though. Wait, is that an owl at my window?
Wait, there's ACTUAL evidence in this movie? I feel I'll be more entertained by this than paranormal activity. What a load of shit.
OK, um, Abigail's daughter is abducted Her husband killed himself Her son is taken from her custody And one of the last scenes shows an alien communicating with her. It says it's God. I tried to find a picture of the "real" Abigail, but no such luck. Be warned, her face isn't blurred in the trailer for privacy.
Saw this Friday night. I'll admit it. This movie movie freaked me the fuck out. Saturday morning as I was waking up, I kept seeing images of Abigail's dislocated jaw hanging open....
