Did you use video for each clip of his transformation? I'd recommend taking pictures instead of using video clips like that, and holding the camera steadier. Also speeding up the frame rate would be a good idea too, as it felt a bit slow. A higher frame rate would make the animation smoother, but it'd require more pictures and slower movement of the object being filmed.
