not sure if this would go here in GD or Video Games, but... meh, here we go. Ok, so, I know the usual responses that I'll be an idiot and all that, but, I just want to know what I COULD'VE done to prevent this from happening. Here's the story. Sold a friend's WoW account on Craig's List using my paypal (since they didn't have a paypal account). I kept all the e-mails, screen capped the AIM conversations, all that good stuff. Anyway, I receive paypal, I send the account info, walk the guy through how to change the account over to his name. Everything is good to go... I go to sleep. I wake up this morning with a Paypal dispute saying unauthorized transaction. Anyway, all morning I spent faxing in 14 pages of evidence that the transaction was legit (e-mails and AIM conversation) and sent in images of said evidence. Now, what could have been done to prevent this from happening? This wasn't cheap and it's still in dispute ($1500 worth), so I'm hoping that I'll at least get SOME cash for her... if not, she'll have to contact Blizzard to get her account info changed back to her and we'll have to try this again somehow (she's done with the game but is broke and would still like to sell the account).
