    Hey All,

The results of my first Repaint.
Sideswipe was too clean right out of the package so I dirtied him up, added some copper accents and gave him more of a robotic, Ive been fighting a long war look. Car mode is still glossy but robot mode is dull and metalic.

Learned a lot of things doing this first repaint that I plan to apply to future repaints and bashes. Most importantly taking your time is key...

Would like to get some comments to help me improve my skills in future.

    Thanks
    RageD

I'm not sure how I feel about the copper color, but you did a good job with the paint.

I agree with Red, the copper looks a little off, but your skill is very good if this is your first. I like the grey feet. it almost looks like G1 Dead End in alt. mode if the stripe was yellow. Good job nonetheless

Ya The copper was an experiment. Probably should have went something else.

Actually the whole thing was an experiement so I can get a feel for the foundation and then move onto another project.

Noticed Brush strokes are a big issue with gloss paint. Thinking of getting an airbrush.

airbrush or handbrush, you should consider thinning your paints and do lighter/more coats. It will make it a little more even.

keep practicing though and you'll get the hang of it. everyone picks up their own style and you'll find yours in no time.

the base color on the roof is black, so maybe removing the red paint would be easier. it retains the transparency of the windscreen/roof part.
