Presenting: Alternator Razorclaw MAKING OF: I made the first sketch sometime in December and bought myself two spare Alternator Grimlocks. I was going to buy some spray paints and get right to it in January, but I was told that the sprays don't work in low temperatures, and I don't have an indoor area to work in, so I had to wait. And wait. And finally, spring is here, and I carry my stuff outside. I sprayed the car body with black and all the parts that I would paint with white. Since I don't have access to a soldering iron, I couldn't separate his legs completely, so that gave me some trouble. The result was that I had to paint his upper legs with yellow directly on the black plastic, which didn't turn out too well. If I make another one, I'll mask the entire legs and spray the upper legs. Apart from that, I'm pretty pleased with how he turned out. Not bad for a first attempt, if I may say so myself. STORY: "You make me laugh, Razorclaw. Even in this pathetic form, I can beat you easily. I'll let you live, 'cause you're not worthy to be destroyed by me. Go home, little cat." Grimlock's words rang in Razorclaw's mind as he walked through the underground base. He had taken the contract on the former Dinobot himself, not bothering to bring his team. He had underestimated his prey. As he entered the control room, he changed into his robot form and stood at attention. The deep purple Decepticon didn't turn around. "You've returned, Razorclaw." The tone didn't betray a single hint of his emotional state, if indeed he had one. "I am disappointed. I have hired you and your team before with great results, but maybe I was wrong about you." He looked up from whatever he was doing, but still didn't turn around. Razorclaw knew that Shockwave was mocking him - noone usually dared to turn his back against him. "Or...", the commander continued, "maybe you have grown weak, relied on your team mates, used Predaking every time there is a hint of opposition. A waste of resources. I would expect better from a hunter such as yourself." Razorclaw kept staring straight ahead. "I have failed, I know that. But I won't give up. To regain my honor, I will defeat Grimlock. Without the Predacons. And, commander..." Shockwave turned around, his polished frame gleaming even in the dim light. "I want to submit to the Binaltech program. Give me a equal body to Grimlock's so that I may fight him on equal terms. Let it be known that I can defeat him no matter what form he chooses." The yellow eyed temporarily pulsed as Shockwave thought. "Spend the resources to build one body to destroy an identical body. That is logical. While I regret that we will temporarily lose the option of deploying yet another of our combiner teams, you will have what you ask for. But remember, Razorclaw. This equation only adds up favorably if one is destroyed. Make sure it is him. You are dismissed. Report to quartermaster Swindle to begin Binaltech transferral." Razorclaw left the control room, already beginning to plan his attack. This time, there would be no mistake.
