Hi All, This is my first attempt at customizing a transformer. I chose Cyberverse TF Prime Wheeljack as my victim. I decided to Customize him in the Diaclone Marlboro fashion, but not being exact. I used Krylon Fusion Gloss Paints and Clear coat. Took me a couple attempts at painting to get it looking good. I used some model stickers for the numbers (Though I admit I got the 8 and the 9 backwards…oops). This project took me about 3 weeks to complete at a few minutes a night painting and giving time to dry. Let me know what you think. Some of the pics are fuzzy :-(

Could not get the links into the thread :-(

For a first attempt, you should be quite proud! Very nicely done.

Thanks guys. Origionally I was going to attempt to customize an IDW Fortress Maximus, however I knew it would be too much for my first attempt (So I am having Unicron9 do it for me). My next piece is a shattered glass Wheeljack using Classics Wheeljack mold.

Overall, I think you did a great job! Just a few nitpicks: I think the numbers would look better as solid text instead of text with gradients, especially due to the smaller size. Also, paint them tires a flat black! :)  And . . . that's really about it! I think you made some excellent choices, and it's neat to see someone start small. Why? Because usually those who do tend to continue building upon their skills each time.

That being said, welcome and I hope we see much more from you! :thumb

Thanks Superquad7. Starting small is the best way. That way I screw up a couple $5 pieces before getting it right instead of a couple $15, $20, or even $30 pieces. I think I have painting down. We shall see with my next projects.

It was mentioned above that once youstart, you cant stop. That is so true. I started working on my next project (Shattered Glass Wheeljack), and found myself working on 3 diferent figures at the same time lol
