    Hello,

Upon seeing the kick arse Devastator customs at transtopia I took it upon myself to at least try. This is a mini ko of Devastastor that i found at some store right around the corner from my house. Think it was like 8 bucks.

I used various gundam parts and a virtual on figure for parts. Quick Plastic for gaps and some cutting to the connector that the legs attach to. I made no adjustments to the individual guys. He doesn't stand very well right now, but his legs twist and can do a side kick. sort of.

This was kind of like a practice for me. I plan on making a bigger one to at least come close to predaking size using the regular sized constructicons.

    Any thoughts?

lookin good there for a WIP.

all the mold really need is some additional arm/leg articulation i guess.

That's what I was thinking. All Devastator really needs is new leg attachments so he doesn't looks so stiff and blocky. I really didn't even need to use the new arm. Maybe add articulated hands to original piece and he would look fine.

    Thanks for the comments.

Hey thanks everyone. Not bad for a first time and thought I was crazy to even try. But this still doesn't come close to what some of those other people can do.
Snapped a few more pics so you can see the scale. Got him standing better too.

Tried to make a new head, this is what I got. The face is from Superion (transtopia idea) and I used quick plastic for everything else. What do ya think? Can it pass as a Dev head?

    Looks like a good choice.
The top rim/crest should be sawed off though.
Use the G1 forehead of Devastator to replace the Superion forehead.:thumbs2:

Amazing, he is so flexible now, also he looks way better with longer legs... much more athletic. Also the head looks great too, nice work.

    Hey thanks,

I suppose I could fill in the gaps on the crest, add a front plate right above, and I should get close to the same results. I just don't want to saw him at this point.

Remember how I said I wanted to make a bigger size Devastator that's close enough to look into Predakings eyes? Well here is the result so far. Still have alot to work to do on this one, but he is standing with no probs. Can't wait till i finish this one. Let me know what you think so far. Take care.

Added articulated hands. They go pretty good with him. I'll have to make some adjustments to his gun so they have something to grab on to. Also, sanded down the thickness to his thighs. Looks more blocky now, but still needs work.

In the one pic with him standing next to Predaking, it looks like you used a gundam thigh part. With paint, that would have been perfect without any more modding, IMO. Why did you thicken it up so much? The hands are a great improvement.

Looks really good. Does the head still attach the original way?

    Heya,

Because Dev is supposed to be blocky. The thighs were too rounded for him and it wouldn't look right.

Thanks for your comments. And yes, the head attaches the same way.

    That's awesome!

What did you use for the articulated hands?

Ever think of selling this as an upgrade kit?
