    This is my first custom. I picked up ROTF Ironhide. Liked the figure, hated the colorscheme. Well, I went for broke and repainted him. Please let me know what you think.

    Looks good! Only thing I can say that would add to it would be to put some red to the robot parts to make it feel more integrated.

    And on the right arm gun you can see where parts are supposed to be formed from the truck doors that should be red on your bot.

    Just my :2c: 

    Again great work!

    To be honest, there are few spots where the paint could be cleaned up(edges) andyou could have masked off a little better. Also you need to wrk on your dry brush technique. Like the grill. But hey even the best of us make a mistake here and there.
    But for your FIRST custom, man that's damn good. :) 
    just keep at it, and practice on some scrap bots.

    An awesome first result mate, congrats!
    The only thing that strike me as a bit odd is the black truckbed.
    To also paint the forearms and lower legs red would make him more geewun, but I like him as he is. :thumbs2:

    Paint looks really nice in bot mode, especially the robot metal parts, but the alt mode (truck mode) isn't as good. I agree with whoever said the edges could be cleaned up a bit more.

    All in all a good first custom.

    Sweet finish for a first! I think if you want to stay more movie-like keep it as is. Going more G1? Maybe some more red in the forearms, codpiece, and shins. Great job tho!

    Thanks for all the feedback and votes. Breakaway is my attempt. Not going with so much of a custom paintjob as Ironhide, but more of touch up work. Mainly just his underside.
