Hey guys, I've been around for a while now, looking at different customs which really got me inspired into making one of my own. I'm still a rookie and still have much more to learn, and this custom doesn't seem to be good at all imo.
    C&C's welcome.
Btw, what is a good way to make the four stripes?

Pretty good start for the first time. I would tape up the windows so that paint doesn't get on them and for some clean edges like the black on the sides.

Thanks, when you say tape, so you mean masking tape? I do have lots of them as I used them for my school projects
Thanks, what would be a good figure from the movie and rotf line to practice on?

Btw, I accidentally posted the thread a second time...:banghead:

Yeah. When I started, I didn't use tape and when I did, it was a HUGE difference. Made everything look very clean.

I really like the detail on the robot parts but the vehicle mode looks like it could use some work. What kind of paint are you using?Im still kind of a rookie customizer but i used to use acrylic paint and the would chip off but now i use testors which is way better and it stays on perfectly.Nice start for a first custom :p

I still can't find testors in stores in Jakarta (thats where I live), so I'm currently using Reeves Acrylics, but I'm still looking for it whenever I can

Good start, I like the robot mode, but vehicle mode does need some work, and tape will be a godsend for cases like that.

I recomend the movie Swindle/Camshaft mold. It's one of the more unpopular molds, so you should be able to get it for cheap (and if you screw up, at least it's not a very expensive toy), but it makes for a great practice subject when trying to highlight robot details (especialy on the arms).
