...and it is NOT a Transformer item.

A 21st annual Hot Wheels Collectors Convention item. I paid about $36 including shipping for it. I'm working on getting some other exclusive and elusive Hot Wheels. There are some highly sought after items that I'd LOVE to get, and add to my rapidly growing Hot Wheels collection. It is growing so rapidly that I need to slow down and focus on SPECIFIC items.

From now on, I'm interested in mostly pre-1980s style vehicles, ALL trucks, and the more radical Track Stars cars that interest me. When I can, I'd also like to get some of the elusive Treasure Hunt cars.

If that caught your interest, do a search on eBay for "Hot Wheels VW Drag Truck."

Yep seen it before. Damn nice piece. While I was Back home over the weekend I saw so many Nice Bugs and Buses, a few Type 3's as well. On the way out of town I saw a Split Window Bus bases Truck just waiting to be restored. I almost cried.

There are so many "VW Drag Truck" made by Hot Wheels it is INSANE! You even get a custom one when you sign up for their Red Line club. I know I'll be getting the purple one. Plus, for every year you renew, you get another exclusive. I hope for 2008 it is something different then a drag truck of some kind, and maybe something as equally classic.

Yeah, and maybe a few other items depending on what you had. I'm looking at a first edition Old Number 5 fire engine as it is HIGHLY collectible, plus a few other items.

The orginal version of the Beach Bomb (which is the orginal name of that thing) is one of the RAREST original HWs out there. I've got a friend that has 3 of the different colored originals. He's been offer crazy money for 'em. I didn't know they were making them again. The VW bus and truck have been overused by HW, IMO. They know that every collector will buy all of 'em they make, so they wear 'em out. Still a sweet set of molds.

Nice haul on that one. Congrats!
