I got this Sunday, Ice/Baby/Gay Blue!





I always wanted the Ice blue one, it looked the best in all the Nintendo media I've seen. When I first picked it up it did seem VERY blue, more so than in all the pictures. However, the more I use it, the more used to the colour I get, and once over the 'its a bit gay' (no offence  ) the more I think it's a beautiful little piece of kit.

I've gone on a little DS splurge, picked up Trauma Center (rock solid later on, but still fantastic), Metroid Prime: Hunters (not yet sampled wifi gaming yet, but soon) and picked up Advance Wars DS half price (awesome, very similar to Advance Wars 2 on GBA, but the touch screen makes the experience a lot better IMO) and just picked up Project Rub for under £5, haven't treid it yet though.

So, anyone one else gone crazy and picked up of these up? Anyone? Or am I the only crazy guy? (Please don't let me be the only crazy one here...  )

 

I plan on picking one up as soon as they are available locally. My GF keeps playing sudoku on mine and won't give it back.

 

I want one, but I'll wait until June when the US version is released.

 

who knows if Im getting one......Ill proabbly will after they release the black....but for now Im happy with mine

Yeah, guess you missed the big 3 part video review that was posted PCP.

Yeah I'm already sold to get one a DS Lite, though I think we are stuck with basic white one right?

 

1. Yes you can clearly see it in daylight. The lowest light setting is still brighter than the original DS

2. It is GBA compatible, although the cartridge sticks out quite a bit.

3. Only the white DS Lite has been announced for the US release, which is on June 11, for $130.

 

i'm buying one only because my original DS has moved on to a better place. otherwise, i would love to see nintendo actually release a portable that they can't drastically improve upon only a year or so later (ie when it's clear it's become a success).

I may break and finally get one of these when they're released here. I should have exactly $130 in Best Buy gift cards coming in right around then so it's pretty tempting.

 

Nintendo are targeting you as well, perhaps more so than DS virgins. I think their theory is that people that have sampled the DS's gaming goodness will splurge on the newer machine, while passing on the older DS to kids/siblings.

 

Can't wait to pick up the lite. Not sure what Im going to do with the original DS. Trade it in or keep it.

Playing Metroid Prime Hunters wifi is the best way to learn the moves. Pretty cool game. The escape parts im like 'Aaaaaghhh!"

 

She doesn't like GAMES, she likes sudoku.

I had her play some of the new Mario today and she got "freaked out" as in "there's too much shit going on and I'm scared".

Sudoku. quiet. comfortable.

 

Wow, thats just like my GF. I bought her a Sudoku touch screen handheld a while back cuz she likes the game so much. Rhythm games she also likes. Any games that are too high kinetic though are a no no, not even Mario cart.

On a funny note, I haven't got a charger for my Ds lite (I didn't bother to pick it up from my Bros when I picked up the DS lite, we were in a rush) becasue I just bought a charger for the DS... and the plugs are different.

It ran out of battery 2 days ago, and right now I'm missing my GBA and its AA dependency...
