So I picked up a Black Lite (hehe) the other week.

Elite Beat Agents has savioured me in two ways. First by being frigging amazing, and second by causing me to realize there's a stuck blue pixel in my top screen. :cry :

Happy that I'm seeing it within the first month, unhappy because now I keep staring at it.

Thinking I'll call Wal-Mart about an exchange, but if there's a way to unstick it I'd like to try that first. I recall there being seizure-inducing videoclips that could possibly unstick PSP pixels, but no idea if there's anything like that for the Lite.

    Any ideas?

if you have a gba flash cart there's a homebrew program, otherwise a swap at walmart or through nintendo is the best bet

I also admit that my reluctance to send it off anywhere is linked to my addiction to Elite Beat Agents. >.> Will check with WalMart, though.

GBA Flash Cart! That's what I couldn't remember. Don't have one, but thanks for the info. :D

Somewhat related, anyone know how much it costs to have the underside of the top DS screen cleaned? Damn thing has dust under it.

My Red DS (The Mario Kart one) had Dead Pixels and I got it exchanged no problem at Gamestop. So far my Black DS Lite is all alive... (Knock on Wood)

Wal-mart will only exchange the DS lite with a receipt and in the time frame, and it is shorter for systems. I tried to exchange mine and they wouldnt because it has been 30days, then I tried without the receipt and three wal-marts told me nintendo wont allow them to exchange it without a receipt, nintendo, according to three different wal-mart employees wants to know that it is being returned/exchanged at the store is was purchased.

Go download the DS unsticker homebrew, and run it with the wifi exploit. Wham, bam, your screen's spic and span.

Plus you'll have discovered the wonderful world of DS homebrew.

Top screen cover can be popped off, just like a GB/GBA screen cover. it's glued on, but it'll come off fairly easily. clean, and stick it back on.

There's an exploit you can use with no extra hardware? Where can I read about that?

I had this problem with my original DS. Just send it into Nintendo. They will fix it. I got it back in only about two days. Since the DS Lite has not even been out for a year, it should still be under warranty (unless Nintendo changed it from a year).

What's the best way of getting it off without screwing it up? Google just gives me a bunch of official cleaning kits.

I have a stuck pixel, I downloaded 2 of those pixel fixer programs, and tried them, but they don't look like they're doing anything.

Weirdly though my stuck pixel actually looks not as stuck, its still blue, but now looks transparent, ie, colour is getting through. I might try these programs again, but I reading how they stress your LCD, and I don't wanna break my screen.

I already named mine Fierce Jab.

I wanted to name it Standing Fierce, but my bandmates thought that was too subtle. Plus their initials are J, A and B. I get to be 'Fierce.'
