I spent most of October building this for my daughter. It's made from a foam ring, dowel rods, 1" foam rubber, pink insulation foam, felt, velcro, spray adhesive, bonding glue, dollar store armor, old karate boots, a strobe light, foil, light stick and silver lace.
The tail lights up with a strobe, and there's a light stick in the horn.
This is my first costume, and now that I figured out the foam shaping details, I'll probably do another one for next Halloween.

    Here's the start:

I don't know what it is, but it's awesome. It would get at least a couple of handfuls of candy.

You should put up a foam shaping tutorial.

    Big thumbs up!

    Thanks for the comments!

It's a Pokemon from Black and White.

Once I work with foam a bit more, I'll post some step-by-steps.

    Thanks guys!

Admittedly, hers was the only costume in the area that wasn't store-bought. She had people taking her picture, pointing and generally being really friendly. It was a great Trick-or-Treating night for her, which made the work involved completely worth it.
