    My Current WIP... Brainstorm

Hey guys I thought I would share my current work in progress. This is my first attempt at scratch building parts at this level. :)

I've been planning on attempting this bash for a while now and I thought this mold could be a good base for the character I have in mind. Can you guess who this character is? I just started this project this week and I'm just planning it out on the fly. Any tips and suggestion welcome :)

For your first attempt at scratchbuilding parts like this, I gotta say, NICE WORK! (much better than my first attempt!)

I'm looking forward to seeing more progress on this, man. I love working with styrene and seeing others do amazing things with it. This is shaping up to be one very nice 'bash! Keep up the great work!

I like the look of it, Brainstorm has a very distinct look and you already are capturing it. Is that Optimal Optimus's cockpit on him too? Its a good fit if it is. Looking forward to seeing your progress.

I was going to say Sixshot, but he'd be near impossible to do. Especially with all six modes.

I always knew the silverbolt mold was a good "generic" robot to do a bunch of different bashes with. Looks good on ya. Great work on the wings so far, and I can't wait to see this done.

Last night I was studying on how the head will attach yesterday, but Brainstorm still has a ways to go :)

I've been talking to bellyboy about casting the face for me :)  Oh and I have the perfect robot body for the head. A long time back I bought a KO Fortress roughly voyager size in comparison now days. For the head master it used a KO Spike headmaster, but I lost the face for it over the years and between moves. One cool thing about it he already had legs that can move independent of each other. And I may have to get a set of reprolabels if all goes well on this guy.

Just a little update I think Brainstorm's alt mode is shaping up nice thus far. Here are a few pictures of the alt mode.

Really nice work dude. Its coming along brilliantly.

I actually have been saving a universe silverbolt for exactly the same reason - I'm waiting for the head-robots duros to be released, and more of less just doing a straight re-paint.

You've taken it to the next level. well done! Can't wait to see more!
