The following is something I've worked on for a very long time. Long ago I fell in love with Warmachines alternator insecticons. In my opinion, they're the greatest customs ever made. So I did my very best to copy them. Aside form faction symbols, they're done. If you're looking for new material, here is not the place. For more pics follow here:

Special thanks to Warmachine, Sculptbot and Menchoy for their contributions.

Menchoy did them for me. Styrene and puddy. Again, modeled after warmachines.

    Sure
Kickback: Swindle head, ground down on the sides and top, antenna glued in from Xevox figure. The head is actually glued straight down to the figure. To be honest, I don't remember why I did this. Either it was because the hole was larger than the ball, or there wasn't enough clearance at the top for him to have a neck. Probably the former. missiles were flipped around (rounded sides out) and glued in place. The rest is masking and paint.

Bombshell: Sculpt-bot head. The rest is just paint. The intentional shoulder kibble (the pieces on either side of his head) are cut off of a much larger missile launcher from a Xevox figure. It doesn't look like bombshell without some bulk by head head.

Shrapnel: Made the pincers from strips of styrene, and some small cylinder styrene. The pincer ends are actually joined by small but powerful disc magnets. I must remove the end of the pincers before transformation. Because of this I was able to make them a little longer than warmachines, which fold in for transformation. I would've preferred to keep them for transformation but couldn't really figure out a good way to do it. Head is a sculpt bot swerve cast. I bought a swerve long ago ($100) for the sole purpose of head donation, but he is not safe and sound. I had to replace the seats/roof to the hardtop. You can't get the pincers into that straight up position unless it's the hard top. (if you don't believe me, try your tracks and ravage: it has to do with extra clearance caused by the seats). On the sides of shrapnels chests there are two styrene pieces pained black and silver. They were easy, and there's lots of empty space in that area.

As I said before, all the chests parts were done by menchoy long ago. Without those bits, they all would've looked the same, and not 1/10 as good. Then reprolabel plates.

The paint is all Tamiya. The purple especially (PS-18 Metallic Purple) is the best shade of purple there is. (I have at least 10 different purples from all my projects). Except for the shins/fore-arms, this mold doesn't easily disassemble, so I had to use every bit of my masking skills.

Other bits that warmachine did that I didn't feel comfortable attempting was some bits on the feet of KB and SH. Also swapping out the thighs/biceps from a tracks mold to the ravage mold (KB). It involves pin removal, which despite the ton of advice on how to it...still baffles me. I wrecked a tracks just trying.

Great work man! I always thought that WM's insecticons were the best, now yours are second best, woohoo! That's my opinion anyway
