Most people use Energon Towline for this, but I saw something else entirely in Energon Inferno. I have to admit, I did like how Energon Roadblock is now the base for Shattered Glass ratchet.

Lots of cutting and gluing was invloved in making the altmode look less and less like a firetruck. I took parts from a plastic SUV I had lying around that added kibble, but gave the figure more bulk. He could've easily been turned into Ironhide (that mohawk was perfect) but I have no universe ratchet, and prices on ebay just scare me (I mean, really, why does everyone value a figure that looks like such a car wreck?!). In the words of the greatest autobot leader (from Stronger Faster, Transformers Prime) "I need a warrior in the lab more than I need another in the field" thus I had to make the medical officer.

In my honest opinion, the "ambulence mode" is crap, but it gets the point across. I even modded the arms so that ratchet's head would fit inside. I know that there's a lot I can do to make it better, but I have my CHUG ratchet, until Transformers Prime comes out with a decent deluxe figure.

Comments and Critique are much appreciated!

Considering that Inferno's Torso mode sports the G1 figure's Windshield-Face thing... I'm surprised this repaint isn't done more often.

    Good repaint. :thumb s

Great work there, the colors are neat and I like the remolding of the head.

Not bad at all! Good detail. And you're absolutely right...as much as I love Ironhide and Ratchet, the Classics mold...I couldn't buy it when it was on the pegs. The SUV mode looked terrible, IMO.

    Thanks. I appreciate the comment!

I agree. If only they could have another go at it.

Shoot! I forgot to take pics of that! Thanks for reminding me.

Thank you very much. I had no Idea I'd get this kind of feedback!

I tend to agree, as I'm not quite convinced by my improvised ambulence. Thank you.

You know, I am seriously considering that now.

    Thanks a bunch!

    I wish I could've...

Thanks. I've only ever seen Ironhides done from this.

I really appreciate the comments, guys. I might just make an Ironhide now.

Nice work!!! I've been looking for something that would substitute for a Ratchet and this fits the bill nicely!

Those who do not want to pay Ebay prices, create. And you did an excellent job with that model of the figure. I can easily recognize it in both modes, and I think it actually has a little better articulation than the Universe version.
