The idea was mine but my buddy Matt did all the work for me. anyway we made the city/shadow commander armor able to store the BFG on his back without depending on that little tab and falling off. what we did was drill a hole in Magnus/Nemesis's back big enough to fit a screw head to fit through we then added a vertical sliding cut coming from the hole we drilled small enough to clear the screw but not big enough to clear the screw head. we placed 2 small screws in the BFG but not all the way in.

the end result is you pop the screws into the drilled holes and slide them down locking them in place, now the BFG will not fall off until you slide the BFG back up

That is a pretty sweet mod but I could never cut/drill/screw into my City Commander armor. I just love that thing too much.

I would totally do it...never thought of Ultra magnus having the BFG and would want one that pays better tribute to his g1 look. Nice mod...and very easy as well.

    Great idea!

Is the figure still able to stand with the added weight of the gun on the back? Seems to me he might get a little top heavy.

Also, could the giant gun attach to the back in any way before modding it? If so, how?

nope hes not top heavy in any way the backpack actually looks like it belongs there.

you can attach the gun without the mod with the tiny tab on back of magnus but it doesnt stay securely it falls off rather easily

pretty cool man. I kind of wish they'd simply molded a peg on to use the connector without people having to mod it!
