Hey dude, I'm assuming that, by this point, the surgery's done and he's probably well on his way to recovery, but I also echo the sentiment of everyone else - hope he's okay.
I hope he doesn't mind me sharing, but I got word from Drippy a little bit ago that the surgery was successful. Here's to a speedy recovery.
Thanks everybody for the well wishes. All went smoothly and my son is doing very well. He is eating, drinking and running around with apparently no pain and we're thankful. However, the pediatrician that was present for the operation detected a heart murmur which his regular pediatrician had never noticed. It was not serious enough to change the way the operation was done, but disconcerting nonetheless. Apparently it's common for toddlers to have "innocent" murmurs that they grow out of. We're hoping it's that. We have to contact his pediatrician to see what he suggests. Thanks again.
