How they really are on display...
For display purposes, I think Alternators are the most 'grown-up' of all the toy lines.
I have mine in a couple of glass display cabinets from Ikea. It lends them a modicum or respectibility and I can get away with displaying them as the centerpiece of my living room-- at least until my girlfriend and I move in together at which time my robots and plastic dinosaurs are banished to a room of thier own which I shall refer to as my study.
yah that does look real nice
Argh, you're so lucky. I can't find ANY of the Alternators, let alone the one I want more than any other Transformer.
And that one would be...?
BTW, the only alternators in my collection are Decepticharge, Mirage and Nemesis Prime.
That one would be Alt Mirage, the 2006 Ford GT - the descendant of my favorite car ever built. Man, it's frustrating trying to find any of the alternators, but that one is especially tough.
thats a cool setup...where'd you get the sword for nemesis prime?
i need to start buying some of those japanese repaints that weren't released here....add to my ranks...even though they are all autobots....it'll really overcrowd my boys way more....
Looks like mine (except you have more)
Where they're all squished in there from running out of room
i had the same problem, i ended up lucking out on one on ebay for alittle more than $20
Very nice set up!
it's real easy to find alternators/binaltechs online.. for a good price too if you do your online shopping well i got grimlock and wheeljack bt's for $30 each, and alt mirage for $23
To this day I don't know why but the one Wal-Mart in town that's usually two months behind in everything had a single Alt. Mirage, which I bought like a madman. Weird thing is that now they're right back to being behind in everything.
But I only have two Alts, Tracks and Mirage, and they're just mixed in with my other childhood Transformers...just a little taller.
Nice collection, I dig the aquarium gardens in the back too.
