I've been working on a repaint of Prime into Magnus for a while now. It would be finished already but I just havent had enough spare time to work on it. The paint is all set and most of my finish work and retouching is done. The inspiration from this project came from Storm and his Ultra Magnus repaint. They will not be indentical, however, as his is painted a little differently. His render: And what I'm going for.... minus the prime head. I've tried to keep the colors as close to good ol' Magnus as possable. The white parts I sprayed with Fusion and some of the red parts. But the blue was mixed from four different acrylic colors and airbrushed on. Alot of tedious work went into masking off cirtain areas to get the right look in Alt mode. I've sprayed it with clear-coat now and it's just waiting to be reassembled. Of course, I wont be using Primes head either. I have a head mold coming in the mail. This project is in it's late stages and I'll definitely post more (better) pics when he is done. Just have to put everyting back together.
mostly finished Still have some touch up work and a few more parts to assemble. And my head mold is taking longer to get here than anticipated. I'll have it finished soon enough and will take better pics with my digital camara instead of this damn camcorder. But, enjoy for now !

looks like a smokescreen prime. but i guess its cause we're used to all the ultra magnus being reissued white and blue primes. looks sharp though. you going to get some upper arm guns for him? very nice work.

looking good, i really need to get on and alter the head on mine so i can finally declare it finished. i'll reserve judgement untill i see it assembled though as you can't really tell how it looks until it's all together
Update This is what I have so far. I'll be posting more pics of the alt mode when I have some more time. I ned to set up the trypod while taking more pics the next time. Most of the pics I just took were all blurred. But this one turned out kinda sweet...
WOW. Now that's Ultra Magnus. Could you include some closer up pics of the head when you take your next round of photos? Did you take it from something or make it yourself?
Man, thats perfect!....what did you use for the head?....did you make that or is it the Myclone head? Non-the-less....its very, very good looking
