hey grey, not to derail your thread or anything, but how long do you let clearcoating dry before you mess with the parts?
This is what I really love to see in a forum like this. Someone posting their work that already looks really great (like in this case), people posting their feedback with praise, but also with some texkbook, constructive criticism. The artist considers the critique, and considers how to push his project further (which is what creative criticism's intent is). GM, great job once again! Also, great job of those of you who offered him some good advice! I applaud you as well. Another thing I would like to note: a piece of art that is worthy of criticism is worthy enough to be put on the examination table to start with. Keep em comin', GM!
To tell you the truth, I haven't even been clear clating most of my work. I ran out some time ago and just never bought more. When I did clean coat, I assembled most of the project before working on the clear coat. I just kept the wondows covered with tape (mask) so as to not spray them. Everything else was fair game. Why do you keep refering to me as 'Grey'?
I may be LOL probably due to having a major lack of sleep alllll last week man thanks for answering me anyways haha.
I like them. Reflector is cool but I think you should paint the face. It'd break up a lot of monotony in the color scheme.
It does not show correctly in the pics but the face is painted. It a a different purple (closer to pink) than the helmet / body color. It still is not as far off from that shade as I would like but in reality it is different.
I just wanted to let you all know that I took the advice given and moved the logos from the read door and rear quarter panel and reprinted them (all in twos this time. The one that was on the rear quarter panel was a one-off because of the fuel tank hatch on the opposite side). I also removed the logo PPA logo from the rear hatch (also a one-of before). I placed all of these logos on the front doors and made a new label for the rear hatch to go along with the 'Con Photo' logo back there. It is the first part of the quote from G1 Refector "See and you can know..." It does look better now. Thanks.
