As you can see by my screenname, Grimlock is my favorite character. I started this thread because I want to make sure that my collection is complete with all of the "must-have" Grimlock figures.

So far I have these Grimlock figures:

    1.) Masterpiece
    2.) G1
    3.) G2
    4.) Animated
    5.) Classics
    6.) Henkei
    7.) Mighty Muggs
    8.) WST

Are there any others that I'm missing that are must haves? THANKS!!

I also like the Action Master, Pretender, Beast Wars, Binal Tech/Alt, and Titanium War Within Grimlock versions as well.

You mean 'what else am I missing'. The only 'must have' is the MP one.

Binlatech or Alt.... although it's a slightly frustrating toy at times.

I wouldn't call it a "must have" but there's also Energon Grimlock, the one that combines with Swoop to make that horribly ugly robot mode. Also Alternators Grimlock, but "must haves" will differ depending who you talk to. You gotta go with what you like.

There is also the 3 inch Titanium Grimlock (kind of sucks), 6 inch Titanium Grimlock (not bad) and the Robot Heroes Grimlock (greatest after MP Grimlock).

i would add the beast wars Grimlock. In terms of G1 continuity, that is Grimlock after we saw him for the last time in the original cartoons.

Also, not really Grimlock but perhaps you may want to get the Diaclone.

I'd call Energon Grimmy a must-have (not so much Swoop though), though few others would. Better'n Classics/Henkei anyway - yeah, I said it. :)

MP, G1, WST and TFA are the only 'must-have' Grimlocks imo.

they're all essentially the same transformation, whilst having something a little bit different going on. some of the other ones are a quite radical departure from the design cues grimmy's traditionally taken. Henkei Grimlock for ex. doesn't do anything in particular for me.

^ I agree with chugway, except I'd probably add Classics / Henkei Grimmy as well.

Henkei Grimlock is a fantastic G1 representation.

Just keep it in dino-mode however.

If you want something that is not a toy the Hard Hero grimlock bust is amazing and can be found very cheap on ebay.

I really love Alternator Grimlock. It's a pain in the ass to Transform but it's stunning in both modes.
Looks so much better than Alternator Wheeljack who shares the mold (with a diffrent head).

Though many people don't like alternators so if you are one of those or if it bothers you that he becomes a car instead of a dino I guess skip it.

Pretender Grimmers, surely. Titanium too, if you're that much of a nut about the character. Don't care all too much for the Titanium one myself, but I'm picky.

Energon Grimlock is better the Classic Grimlock IMO. Botmode and Dino are nice.

Plus Animated Grimlock is a MUST! He's is the best, beside MP.

    ^Awesome shot!

    Anyway, I'd recommend:
-HOC/SCF Grimmy for his show accurate beast mode
-Hard Hero Grimlock bust for his show accurate robot mode

More display material than actual toys I guess, but they do look really nice! :)

KO Grimlock... at least to hold you over if/until Hasbro or Takara actually release a legit G-1 reissue...

Just removed mine from the box today for the first time and am surprised by how the chrome shimmers...
