I didn't start collecting until about 2 years ago, but still one of my favorite lines is Energon.

I currently have the energon figures below (just got shockblast who was my main target). Does anyone recommend any other energon figures as "must-have"? Just wondering if its time to wrap up my energon collecting efforts, thanks.

    Barricade
    Downshift
    Grimlock
    Hotshot
    Ironhide
    Insecticon
    Jetfire
    Jetstorm
    Megatron
    Optimus Prime
    Prowl
    Ravage
    Rodimus
    Scorponok
    Shockblast
    Steamhammer
    Snowcat
    Swoop
    Sharkticon
    Towline

There a lot on your list I'd not consider 'must-haves', but that aside, I like these a lot:

    Demolishor (dumptruck)
    Dreadwing/Mirage
    Inferno
    Landmine/Landquake
    Quickstrike/Bulkhead
    Slugslinger

    and all the combiners.

Yeah, to clarify many of the figures that I have I got just to get at the time. I don't consider all of my collection "must haves", but I only want to add "must haves" from this point forward. Thanks for the input.

Ah, ok, same as me then, I'm trying to get rid of some of my 'initial errors'! :thumbs2:

But honestly, I really like some of the Energon figures a lot. IMO some of them are in classics league.

I'd say leader Galvatron is really nice, but you're going to pay a lot for him. Powerlinx Bulkhead is a pretty cool Springer-type figure too, and the japanese version can be found on ebay for a decent price most of the time.

Since it's your favorite line I'm sure you'd recommend it, but for someone who doesn't collect Energon figures, is Optimus worth having?

He really does look pretty dumb in robot mode (combined or just the cab part), but I think he looks pretty bad ass in alt mode with the trailer and all.

When I collected Energon, my favorites were Bulkhead, Scorponok, Mirage, Landmine, and Divebomb.

I also think Superion and Bruticus are worth having, especially with the release of the FP add-on kits.

Ultra Magnus, he's hard to find but well worth the effort.

I love the Ultra class in Energon. Landmine and Bulkhead with their add-on badass backpack arsenals are some of my favorite toys to just play with.

I have the combiner prime. I like the combiner much more than just fatimus alone. Despite the limited posability, he actually diaplays pretty nice as as bot.

Thats one of the main reasons that i love energon, fun to fiddle with, nothing overly complex, lots of ratcheting and clicking in the transformations.

Is there a difference b/t Superlink Skorp and just Skorp, or is that referring to the same figure?

Superlink Megazarak & Energon Scorponok are the same mold, just somewhat different colors, though primarily green.

I think the mold is so-so. It would be great if the articulation weren't so awkward. I think the best colors on the mold are on the remolded Dark Scorponok in the Cybertron line though.

I've seen that go for a lot, but I do agree that the colors are the best.

The Galvatron repaint of Megatron is awesome. The mold suits him so much better.

    1) Energon Downshift OR Superlink Wheeljack.

    2) Energon Arcee OR Superlink Ariel.
