As the title says, what songs/bands have been played to death by radio?

    For me: Anything Nirvana,
    Sublime's Santeria
    Cake's the Distance

Enter Sandman. Every time I'm on a car trip and turn my I-Pod on, and it turns to that song, I skip it, knowing it'll be on the radio.

Anything Gwen Stefani, her voice is like nails on chaulkboard.
Gotye somebody I used to know, it just came out and it's on Glee? The only reason I like to listen it to now is because he reminds of a cross between Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, and Howard Jones towards the end of the song.

    Def Leppard, Bon Jovi....

basically anything that becomes pop. I used to love Def Leppard's Hysteria album until I started hearing "Pour Some Sugar On Me" in my sleep....Same for Bon Jovi and "Livin' On A Prayer".

You can never have too much Def Leppard!

But yeah, Pour Some Sugar on Me is definitely over-played.

Not necessarily a repeatedly played song but the radio station here kills Golden Earring's Twilight Zone by cutting out the entire bass solo. And on the rare occasions the rival station plays No More Tears by Ozzy, one of my favorite songs of all time, they cut the guitar solo short. Feels bad, man.

Oddly enough, I love when this gets played on the radio, especially since the country station in my area doesn't overdo it. Actually, that's probably the main reason, as even the best song tend to get ruined when you hear em multiple times a day. :(

Seeing as I live in Canada, where they are legally obligated to play it, Nickleback.

    Hahahahaha

So my mom randomly asked me why people hate Nickleback, and my response went something along the lines of "Because they suck. Seriously though, they didn't imitate Nazis or anything. A vocal few are just bitter & jealous of their success, and it gets worse because their stuff gets overplayed to hell on Rock stations."
