I'm sad the G1 bars didn't make the cut for the film. Damn lawsuit.

But I'm much more excited to hear this then whatever pop crap they put on the 'main' soundtrack.

Very cool. I know Bay films have a killer orchestral track behind them and Steve Jablonsky has worked on several. He's quite good, can't wait to hear what will be in the movie.

Thanks for the info. I'm hyped they went with the full orchestra for the music score! Everything is lining up for this to be a classic film!

    :::crosses fingers:::

I do wish part of the song thats played during the end credits of the G1 TV series could be used. That was, and still is, awesome!... (it had a quitar playing the "More then meets the eye" part!)

The linked article does not say anything of the sort. I'm sure you'll just come up with some other gem of a one-word rant, but here's what it says on the subject:
And the opening notes to the G1 theme are definitely there in the music for the most recent full trailer.

hopefully a strong sign they'll keep the garbage pop or metal songs mostly away from this...

I happen to like that Linkin Park sh*t.

But I too would rather they went with a strong orchestral score. Those always work better for me in a motion picture.

Cool, but too bad it won't have any hints of the original theme.

...uh, just because they have one doesn't mean they won't have the other as well. I'm sure there's plenty of room in this movie for both types of music, sort of like how they usually do it with these types of films.

I heard them after a few listens... but the fact that they don't stand out sucks.
Especially when they interview people on the street about the film (for TV and such) and the first thing they do is sing the song.

    They could have done better.

I wonder if "Dare" or "The Touch" will be in there?

LOL. I'm just joking, but I absolutely love the old soundtrack from the old TF movie. Lion did such an awesome job with the main theme, it made me want to be a metal guitarist when I was a kid.

And well.. now I am, lol.

I can't wait to get my hands on this, especially for whatever fun they decide to slap onto the end credits. That's where I was expecting the most G1 music nods.

And BTW, the main chorus they use for the trailers with the transforming insignias to date, is one of the G1 Music bits altered and made more epic. It's just slowed down a lot for more effect. And has a grander orchestra playing it, as opposed to just guitars.

Bah dah nah (really low) daaaaaah naaaaah
Well phonetically that's the best I can do.
