I rediscovered Five Finger Death Punch recently, and bought American Capitalist. Sweet Jesus, I love it so much. Best FFDP album, best album of the year. Instrumentals are off the chain. The guitarists set ablaze to their frets. The double-bass drum is hectic and aggressive. Bass is sludgy and a little groovy. Ivan can flip between piss-off growls and orchestral choruses effortlessly. The lyrics are poetry. Intelligent, mad poetry. They're perfected every element of their sonic hallmark. Giving the guitar solos more "respect" was a great move.

Also purchased Hollywood Undead's American Tragedy. Pretty good as well, and I like it better than their previous efforts. It's full of good beats, and hella catchy choruses. There is enough distorted guitar to give it some metallic grit. The more serious material is damn good for sure, but some of their party anthems are fairly stupid and I can't tell if they're being tongue-in-cheek or just wannabes. It's hard to flip-flop between them. Also don't care much about the ballads. It's good, and "Tendencies" is an underrated rap/rock masterpiece.

Hoping this place stays open. Need a place to vent.

It seems like that everyone just suddenly discovered dubstep at the same time...

LOVE the Black Keys, their last album was amazing.

I just bought Bush's latest album, I was bit leery after Gavin's shitfest solo album, but the group album is pretty rockin.

Fell in love with the band, Nine Lashes and their song "Anthem of the Lonely." Killer riffs and all around solid band. Managed to get their first album when they came through KC and I'm impatiently waiting for their "official" first album coming out in February.

Right now I´m a metal guy. With bands like Sabaton and Van Canto wich are awesome.

Sabaton has awesome videos, especillay "Screaming Eagles" and some chilling but great songs like "Final Solution". Their next album "Kings of War" comes out next year.

I´d recomend the "Attero Dominatus" album and the last one "Battle of the Baltic Sea" DVD.

Although I'm not quite an expert on music, I do like my share of it. Mostly girly stuff. I am beyond enamored with Death Cab for Cutie, and not just because of Ben Gibbard, I swear.

I dunno, but I listen to shitloads and shitloads of Katy Perry. One of the Boys would be my ultimate guilty pleasure if I felt any guilt about it.

I guess the term "girly stuff" isn't quite right, and "stuff that has a target demographic of girls" is more accurate. Basically, I mean light, upbeat pop or indie music. Artists such as Lights and Faded Paper Figures would fall into this category.

I remember when the black keys were just a local band.

Anyone into D.I.Y. punk and post-rock?
