    I just bought music label soundwave today (LEt the seller talk me into buying the white one instead of G1) but I seem to be missing a step, battery is in, SD card loaded, play button pressed aaaand...nothing.

    followed all the directions and nothing. It may very well be a bad one. unfortunetly the store I bought it from is known for just not caring at all.

    Well, the first questions I have to ask are certifiably stupid, but I prefer to elimate the obvious before moving further :p 

    1.) Have you loaded music on the card?

    2.) is the card the proper format? Theres only one size memory card that works for the MP3, and all others shall fail to load. Even if its the right size, the player seems to have problems with incorrect storage capacity.

    3.) Do you get a flashing red light when you press play?

    Did you manually add the files to the memory card? In my experience 'syncing' to the card doesn't work. You have to drop them end by hand.

    I have mine on hand, so I'd be more than happy to help if I can.

    1 gig micro SD with a mini SD adaptor, and no absolutly no lights come on when I hold down the play button.

    ^ Maybe you should try using an actual 1Gb mini SD instead.....

    that doesn't take into account that the lights don't come on either.

    From what I understand, Music Label Soundwave is garbage as far as its electronics go. Even if you got lucky and snagged a working figure, the electronics tend to die out within a year.

    In other words, it's not something you buy as a music player, just as a really good Soundwave figure.
