So how much was Music Label Soundwave when he first came out? Also, what year and did Sonic White and Spark Blue come out?

    Is he worth getting?

TFU says 2007. Don't own one yet, but I'm hoping to buy one in the next week or two, so I guess that's a vote in favour of buying him.

He went for about $90 when first released. You can get him for much less now - around $50 on ebay. The blue Soundwave is the most popular version and goes for a little more than the other ones.

I got mine for $42 and change by using the live discount. I would certainly recommend him at the current prices. He's extremely poseable and is probably the very best Soundwave figure on the market. The con is that the cassettes can't fit in his chest and the MP3 functionality is lacking.

    picked him up recently

Very happy. Haven't even bothered with the MP3 functionality, was thinking a mini-SD card with Soundwave dialog on it might be fun though.

Just put the Reprolabel set on this weekend and highly recommend it. Makes a world of difference.

Just ordered the Frenzy/Rumble headphone set to go with him, now just hoping Reprolabels makes a decal set to give them proper G1'esq torsos.

    btw: I paid I think just a hair over $50 w/ shipping.

Do you guys think it would be easy to modify a ML Soundwave to store cassettes?

Gonna depend if his chest is big enough to hold them. Anyone got the dimensions of Soundwave's chest and a micro cassette?

Also, the exchange rate is horrible! I recently got some stuff off of hlj and the exchange rate was 93 yen to the dollar.

And if you do get soundwave, I recommend picking up the reprolabels for him.

    Ebay:
He's OK. I'd go with the Blue version if available and you should be able to find a decent deal on him.

It's been a while since I messed with him, but I think his whole chest is about the same width as a cassette
