Love the Music Label Soundwave mold but I always thought he was a little too plain and understated looking.

So I set about adding some red details to his wrists, knees and in the channels along his battery guns. I also painted that little section on his abdomen silver to break up the blue.

The main mod is the gold chest piece I made out of styrene.

Future improvements I have in mind:
    - I need to get a new, purple Decepticon insignia for his chest.

    - Some paint apps on his shoulders.

    - Also toying with the idea of making his signature knee vent things.

Anyways it's simple but I haven't seen anyone do this yet so thought I'd share.

PS: If anyone has a spare Device Label Ravage, hit me up. I have the KO version and it just does not deserve to be pictured with this guy. LOL

Ok. This is going to make me get that Soundwave. The little bit that you did made him look so much better. And it already looked like a cool figure.

That little custom makes the figure a heck of a lot better looking. I might have to do that when mine gets here (hopefully by next week).

It was nerve wracking customizing an $80+ figure so I'm glad you guys are liking it.

I had originally painted the kneecap thing red and the inside of his heels yellow but it looked too busy so I redid it silver.

I think I'll try my hand at dry brushing those mold details on the inside part of his legs tonight.

Go for it dude. Dry brushing and washes make this figure look its best, they really do.

I think drybrushing and washing is good for some...but this particular figure looks exceptionally good with that very clean paint app you've given it. Especially standing next to that Megatron. I'd leave it as is. I just picked up the Soundblaster version and got it today in the mail. Maybe I'll try something like this...
    Very nice work!

Eh, I kinda liked it before. The yellow border seems kinda random.

I can understand wanting to do Soundwave up like this, but I personally just confined myself to reprolabels

I have absolutely zero clue about casting LOL I'll see if I can figure something out with someone who does (like bellyboy) or take a crash course on it.

In the meantime I can shoot a tutorial for how I made the piece. It was relatively easy and my first ever styrene work so if I can do it, I'm sure anyone can do it.

Heading out on a camping trip right now but I'll see what I can get done when I get back
