Katy Perry is never a guilty pleasure... I'll save my thoughts for a more suitable area. My guilty pleasure band? My Chemical Romance. Don't judge me.
I'm a metal head. There's absolutely no sane reason why I should love Kelis' "Milkshake", yet somehow I do. Enough so that I actually bought the single (couldn't bring myself to buy the whole album, however. I'm not that insane).
Well.. uh. I'll listen to Backstreet Boys now and then. And maybe occasionally once in every once in a while Selena Gomez... maybe. ... heh heh.
She is the hottest celebrity known to man yes but still for a guy like me to listen to her I'd say it is.
I believe Limahl belongs in this category. YouTube - Limahl - The Neverending Story Upwards of 80% of music I'm into is questionable or dodgy in some way, and there's really no guilt involved anymore. why anyone would consider this a guilty pleasure is beyond me. Daft Punk is perfectly respectable stuff to listen to.
My ex b/f's room mate listens to a lot of children music. They have a 3 year old, when she was first born. They got me hooked on children's albums. Being where I am basically from culturally...Pop music isn't off limits, it's embraced. But don't tell any of them I love metal.
Its just not like anything else I listen to I guess. Whenever I'm listening to them and someone hears it or walks in to it, I feel like I've got my pants down or something.
The Lonely Island....yeah . They're in my mind. I can't watch this advert without thinking of a certain song: YouTube - Stay Dry with Lynx Dry 24 Hour Antiperspirant‏
Would it make you feel less shameful if I admit that I actually think that song is beautiful? YouTube - Creamy - I do, I do, I do‏ This is a terrible song and I'm ashamed for liking it, hell when I had it on in the car I was driving my friend thought the opening note or riff or whatever was a broken turbo charger spooling up.
It IS lovely. No need for shame. Other entries on my list of musical guilty pleasures would be Celine Dion, Donna Summer, Vanilla Ice, pre-Aquarius Aqua (Aquarius itself is an amazing album) and the Pussycat Dolls.
It's like a requirement to be on Disney, you have to sing. First off, Katy Perry can't sing for crap, at least she's hot. And MCR is far from being a guilty pleasure. Are you mentally and physically insane?!
I loved Aqua as a young man, although I think I had a crush on Lene Nystrøm (who is a babe). I heard all the bubblegum pop hits they did and then I heard her sing 'Turn Back Time'.....I was blown away, her voice was beautiful.
