I heard the whole thing already, but under no circumstance am I NOT getting it next week. My only dilema is whether to get the CD/DVD at Best Buy, or the ItunesLP. Otherwise, thumbs WAY up on it.

Is it just me, or does one of the songs on that album sounds like the Dr. Who theme?

The new album is great! Muse does an excellent job of mixing synths, guitars and classical. No drop off from their last album which I thought was pretty awesome also.

I thought it was pretty mediocre. Nowhere near as enjoyable as their last 2 albums.

Not at all. I had really high expectations for this album. Especially after Black Holes and Revelations blew me away and stayed in my playlist for much longer than most newer albums.

But this one felt...off. Many of the songs felt like techno-opera, and a bit more mellow than I had hoped. And to be fair, I've been having a really, really hard time finding new music that I enjoy.

Which was your first Muse album? Cause most of their old stuff is more mellow.

That said, loved this album. Once again muse proved why they are my favorite band. MK Ultra is the coolest thing I've heard in a while. I'd rank it as their third best album, after a tie between Absolution and Origin of Symmetry.

Absolution was my first album of theirs. Time is Running Out and Hysteria were the songs that piqued my initial interest in the band. I've never ventured into their older albums.

A dissapointment but not as much as I first thought. Some songs have really growned on me but suprisingly they really aren't the guitar driven or harder sounding tracks.

    Resistance

    Undisclosed Desires

    best 2 tracks imo.

Absolution followed by OoS, then Showbiz, BHAR, and TR.

First time I heard the whole album on Youtube, I thought it was alright. I've listened to it multiple times since, it really is a great album! My favorites from it are MK Ultra, Resistance, and of course the big 3-parter Exogenesis. I'm picking it up tomorrow.

I've been a big Muse fan for a while now, can't really ever decide what album's my favorite (Showbiz, maybe my least favorite, but it's still great). Absolution has been in my car CD player for a while though...
