When my best friend and his sister died in a housefire (I was 13 then) i did some drastic things to cope. i did not sleep at night for 10 years. even now, i am still more comfortable sleeping in daylight. i had nightmares, i saw things outside my window at night and well, a lot of my life has changed because of it. i can honestly say i am more afraid of things than i ever was before his death. so i feel for a boy that age with a light on, or a girl that sleeps with a weapon under her pillow. some things are not a joking matter. even the adults should be terrified- 5 people murdered in a neighborhood under all their noses...that should rob anybody of their security.
Wait - people take things seriously on the internet - for good reason? Jesus, that's awful. I think you just described one of the biggest problems on the internet. As for Sledge's posts - I guess I can understand how it's hard to accept something so awesome.
