I saw a board member was selling Munitioner/Explorer here the other day and in their sale thread listing (can't find the thread now, it must have sold) it said it was the official fansproject version, not the KO. So does that mean that there are already cheap imitations of these guys? I'm concerned because I recently ordered one from ebay at a somewhat reasonable price. Are there lesser versions of Munitioner/Explorer out there already?

have not heard of it. KO companies are currently mostly doing Optimus Prime, Seekers mold, etc. They haven't touched Protector and Crossfire yet, to my knowledge.

"Not a KO" is just a disclaimer, in response to the Commander KOs.

FansProject toys ARE KOs, but they aren't bootlegs. iGear makes bootlegs.

I would hardly call fansproject items knock offs. They are unlicensed toys inspired by an existing toy property. Though that has it's own share of legal issues its not the something as a bootleg or a ko

with KOs being so prevalent, even with 3rd party products (especially FP products), I'm sure the board member is just having that disclaimer out there just in case. NO KO Munitioner/Explorer YET as we know.

To be honest, I would not mind a KO (or official from FP if they choose to do so) combiner parts so I can use it for Warcry & Flameblast.

FP already made KOs of Munitioner/Explorer with doo doo paint jobs and headsculpts, and called them Warcry and Flameblast. You can actually order them at popular online retailers like BBTS (Who is a sponsor to this very site)

Man bullet, it's actually taking physical restraint to not go over to the feeback forum and write an essay-length pictorial rant on them. If they didn't combine, they'd be on my B/S/T thread right this instant, lol.

I got so sick of looking at flameblast's little play-doh head that I just put them into combiner form, slapped them on Nexus Maximus, and they were dead to me.

    Sooooo much disappoint.

I'm totally with you on Flameblast TJ. I like the Explorer mold sooooooo much, but can't stand the new head sculpt. I also like Explorer's paint job much much better. The darker tones are just spot on.

Is Warcry equally disappointing? I am actually real close to pulling the trigger on him so any input would be greatly appreciated.

    Two words. Battle Gaia.

Unfortunate having to get extra parts for it but, they are PRICELESS to me, and I would imagine a lot of vintage tf enthusiasts.
