These might not have been among the most popular lines ever, but Scarab & Armon were easily 2 of my favorites growing up, and the tv show (which had more than a few similarities to Yugioh) was actually pretty good too.

Taking that into account, I thought it silly to keep these guys (and gal)... under wraps. :lol

Ah that brings back very fond memories. Those look like pretty good action figures, do you have the rest of them?

I wonder if there's a way to watch this show again, now?

I only have those two, but they're definitely good figures. Like, I'm by no means an expert on this stuff, but I remember them being at least as good as (if not better than) the higher end batman/DC figures of the 90's, and they're definitely better than the X-Men/Marvel stuff that my friends and I had.

Scarab (who was a lot harder to find than the rest in my area) might've been slabbed with a flat cartoon purple, but Armon & the other ones had really nice blue/gold/metallic colouring, and the soft plastic kept it's form better than anything else that I've owned. They were made by Kenner, so I guess this was to be expected. :)

Getting to the series, [this guy] looks to have a bunch of it on Youtube, but I also found listings like [this one] on Amazon that're quite cheap. I'm just not sure if it's got the entire show or just a few episodes, the later of which wouldn't really be worth it for me.

Oh man, I remember Mummies Alive. I watched the hell out of the cartoon but I don't think I ever had any of the figures.

I used to have Ja-kal. Pretty cool and highly detailed figures. Did they ever release Nefer-Tina?

She might've gotten released later on (google can probably answer this for us), but Nephy wasn't part of the 1st wave, and I don't think there was ever an additional line. They pretty much released a Shabti (sp?) soldier instead of her (or maybe she was just omitted, depending on how you look at it), and I'm guessing that was because they didn't think a female figure would sell very well. Maybe they didn't wanna have a toy with boobs? Who knows.

Like, I never understood that personally (especially since Kenner released many other female figures for different lines & since we had several revealing figures aimed at the same age groups), but I guess the fact that Armon was my favorite proves that maybe I wouldn't have bought her either, at least not when I was a kid.

Also about the show, I started listening to some of it in the background, and I just noticed a few voice actors that I remember from Beast Wars, most notably Scott Mcneil & the woman who voiced Airaizor & Frieza.

I still have the main cast of figures.

From what I recall it was a decent/fair show.

They did make a Nefertina figure Nefertina Action Figure Gallery.

It was the whole egyptian (favorite ancient civilization) motif that first caught my attention.

I'm just glad to know there are actually other people who remember this show other then me, lol.

I seriously want to be able to watch this series again. And having some of the toys again would be epic, I lost every last one of those things as a kid :(

Oh man that takes me back! I was a big fan of the show. I was a big fan of Nefer-Tine and Rath. I always wanted a Nefer-Tina figuer never got them here. I am a huge Egyptian fan of anything. I love the villian Apep (snake fan here). I still watch this show on Youtube.

I do have one figuer it was all I could ever find at KB toys. My friend has Ja kal somewhere.

^They also made another armored version of the hawk mummy guy and they made this blond white guy in blue jeans, a black leather jacket, and a red shirt that had snap-on green and yellow Cobra monster armor.

Man, I wish I grabbed those guys.

Here's a bunch of then rest of the line:

I had the four dudes and the bad guy, plus the bike. Pretty good toys, lots of detail, though not extremely articulated.

Mummies alive was one of my favorite toylines. I still have everything that came out including the bike, car, and jet. From what I understand nefertina only came out in europe so that really pissed me off when I was little because I couldn't complete the group.

Well, at least she came out at all (+rep), and I actually like that panther armour quite a bit. Not exactly a big fan of the man face, but you know.

... nothing wrong with being a bagger.

Huh I remember these guys back in my college days. I thought the cartoon was incredibly dumb, but I loved the character designs.
