Has anyone tried it? Because I'M F-ING ADDICTED
I tried Mugen only once, thankfully I didn't get addicted. It was the worst day of my life, I felt so stupid and I didn't know what was going on.
Don't do freeware, kids.
IDK Why i've got 20 something Characters most Megaman
Don't let Mugen control you.
Oh wait the other Mugen, never mind.
i tried using mugen... but it was too confusing for me.
It was Goddamn easy.
I used to mess with MUGEN, like, almost ten years ago. I had a lot of fun with it, but I got tired of the following:
-Too many over-powered "custom" versions of fighting game characters instead of trying to be accurate.
-Whiny bitches hoarding "their" characters, and the ensuing drama when someone on a "warehouse" site "steals" them.
-Constantly editing my character select screen to fit more characters into it
-Dealing with a program with no active development in several years--especially when the two flavors it comes in are "DOS" and "extra buggy pre-release Windows 98 version"
Came in this thread thinking the same thing and if not I was gonna make a joke about it as well.
I've not toyed with Mugen in a long time. I do mess with RPG Maker though, which is a similar thing, except obviously for console RPGs and not Beat 'em Ups. I remember how horribly unbalanced some of the characters seemed, though.
Not Mugen but I did try out FighterMaker 95. Remembered how fun it was making a character with no gravity so when he jumped, he didnt come back .
